Emanuel - God with us! God is with His people always. Since the beginning, God was with Israel in a pillar of cloud by day to guide them on their way and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light (Exodus 13:21). Then in Tabernacle, He met them from above the mercy seat (Exodus 25:22), and later, His glory filled the House of Yahweh (1 Kings 8:10-11). God was with the prophets when they spoke His word. Without doubt, He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, and taken up in glory (1 Timothy 3:16).
God is Jesus Christ! He revealed Himself as our Redeemer (1 Peter 1:18-21) and Reconciler (2 Corinthians 5:19). If once our inequities separated us from God, now we are redeemed not with corruptible things but with the precious blood of Christ. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but appeared in these last times for the sake of you--who through Him are believers in God. God the Father raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in Him. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. This ministry means that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself and not counting people's transgressions against them because He paid for them all.
You have eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ (John 6:47) and now, you are a sanctuary of the living God. Just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their god, and they shall be my people and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me,” says the Lord Almighty (2 Corinthians 6:16, 18). I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you, and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Hebrews 13:5)
Dear friend, Jesus Christ is calling you: "Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that your soul may live (Is. 55:3); Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest (Matt. 11:28). And this is the will of who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has give me, but rise it up on the last day (John 6:39)."
